Week six

This past week was very productive:

#29--added one more event this week. I had lunch with my good friend Michelle down at the 903. We don't get to see each other very often because she lives quite a ways from me, so it was fun to get together. I also had dinner with Louise. She called to say hi and we started talking about the fender bender and she immediately came over and brought dinner in an effort to "take care of me". Too sweet. So that marks off the two for the month.

#35--wrote a love note to Mark in grade school style--big puffy letters, doodles, and hearts. I folded it like a paper airplane and tossed it to him while he was at the computer. He doodled and sent it back to me via airmail.

Also got one more foot rub in for Mark. He came back from his disc golf tourney and had the sore foot. I rubbed and rubbed and rubbed all the pain away. This one lasted a little longer and it was not so bad on my end either. So, add another hash mark to #36.

I watched another movie from AFI's list. I am uber busy right now with wedding stuff, so watching movies is a luxury. I did squeeze in High Noon. Why hello Gary Cooper. Great flick and interesting story. The cool thing is that the movie is shot in real time. This flick had it all--romance and gunfights and horses and the Gary Cooper theme song and saloon drinking and a barn fire and drunk dude in jail. What more could you ask for? Also of note, Lloyd Bridges and Grace Kelly were also featured.

While I have not learned any songs on the guitar, I did learn to tune it this week and how string pressure changes the sounds. So stepping in the right direction on that front.

Cd's that I listened to this week include:

ZZ Top greatest hits--So I like me some ZZ Top. I think Billy Gibbons has a saucy singing voice. Most of the songs were cool, but there were some pop-y shark-jumpers. I forgive them and still enjoyed the cd.

AM Gold-1971--This is a compilation CD of the songs that were hot in the year of 1971. It was a fun CD to listen to with some great songs. I knew most of them and had fun listening.

Maybe I will be on time next week with the posting. Darn wedding is time consuming!!
